Newborn Family Photography in Blackpool

Photographing families is extremely rewarding. Children grow so fast so being able to capture some moments and memories of them for their families is amazing. It’s made even more special when I have photographed the parents wedding and then get invited to document their new addition to their family.

Grant and Kristina were married 3 years ago on the beautiful Greek Island of Zante. Their wedding was insane. It was HOT but so much fun to be a part of. I made a blog about my experience here - Zante Wedding.

Earlier this year I stopped by their house to meet and photograph Sophia, their newborn daughter. She is adorable and I couldn’t be happier for Grant and Kristina.

Here’s a few from their session.

Newborn Family Photography in Lancashire

I love creating memories for families. Time flies so ridiculously fast when you have children and life can be that chaotic that you don’t always stop and appreciate everything. Spending an hour capturing families together is so precious and creates moments they will, hopefully, treasure forever.

Jen and Steve invited me round to capture some newborn family photos of the new addition to their lovely family. I was lucky enough to do a shoot with them a few years earlier when Alexis was born. Now she’s the big sister to the adorable little Hallie.

It was so lovely to meet Hallie and capture some photos of her in such an early stage of her life. It was also very cool to see what a lovely little girl Alexis has become and capture some cool memories of her laughing and playing at home.

Family photography doesn’t have to be boring and uncool. I capture these moments for no one other than the family. In my opinion it is so important to take as many family photos as you possibly can as life passes so very quickly and before you know it the little humans have grown into full sized humans.

Big love to this wonderful family and thank you again for inviting me in to your home to create memories for you.

Lake District Family Photography on Lake Windermere

Back in the summer I was lucky enough to document this awesome family up in the gorgeous Lake District. Lisa, John and their two little beauties Gabriella and Charlie were so much fun to spend a couple of hours with!

As with all of my family shoots the location for this session was totally down to the family. They picked somewhere that means something to them and that they love doing. On this occasion it was a picnic by the lake followed by a bit of exploring then on to their boat for a trip out on to Lake Windermere. By letting them decide what they want to do for the shoot not only does it make everyone more relaxed but gives them memories of something they love doing together, as a family.

I love this family. They are genuinely lovely people and instantly made me feel welcome. Gabriella and Charlie instantly felt comfortable in front of the camera as I played and joked around with them.

Lancashire Family Photography at Stanah Country Park - Hannah, James, Rudy and Daisy

Introducing four wonderfully lovely humans to my blog. Hannah, James, Rudy and Daisy invited me along to hang out with them recently at Stanah Country Park in Lancashire. Their family shoot was filled with fun and laughter. I am so happy I made the decision to photograph more families. I absolutely love meeting new people and capturing such precious memories for them.

Stanah Country Park is a bit of hidden gem, situated on the banks of the River Wyre. It's perfect for family adventures with walks, woodlands and an awesome park for various ages. We often take our girls up there for some fun so I know it fairly well. It made for the perfect setting for Hannah, James, Rudy and Daisy. They did some playing on the park and had some fun in the woods. We made memories and captured this time of their lives.

Family Photography in Astley Park, Lancashire

I recently met up with Jen, Kieran and their little man Jesse for their family photography session in Astley Park in Chorley. Jen is currently expecting their second child so it was great to be able to capture such an exciting time of their lives.

As with all of my family sessions this was very much just the three of them playing and having fun, doing what families do best.

I can't wait to meet their new arrival and capture even more memories of this wonderful family.

FAMILY PORTRAITS AT RIBBY HALL VILLAGE, LANCASHIRE

Over the Easter Holidays I met up with the Haynes, Garner and Jobe families at Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, Lancashire to capture some documentary family portraits. They were visiting our lovely county to spend a bit of time all together as a family and to help celebrate a special birthday. They had hired out the stunning Coach House at Ribby Hall Village and they got in touch with me to come along and capture some memories for them.

The day was fairly cold and slightly on the wet side but after I’d arrived and introductions were made we set out for a trek through the woods. Along the way we stopped off for a bit of a play on the park and the grown ups showed the kids exactly how it’s done. Yes it was muddy. Yes it was wet. Yes it was a bit windy. But it was so much fun seeing this family together laughing, playing and spending some valuable time together.

FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION

My family portrait sessions are designed to capture families being themselves. I love getting to know new families and to see firsthand the love and laughter that being all together brings.

This bunch were such a pleasure to shoot. They didn’t once complain about the mud and we didn’t stop smiling the whole time. They are such a lovely family and I’m so chuffed I have captured such precious memories for them.

Here’s a few of my favourite photos from their session…
